After some consideration and talking to Rich at the Adventurer's Guild, I have decided to go with a Warhammer Fantasy Battle army for the "Tale of Four Gamers" and forgo using Ultramarines. Therefore, its out with the Space Marines and in with Empire. The blog for my "Tale of Four Gamers" site will be at http://vinkelswoods.blogspot.com. I have, however, decided to rename this blog and use it to show off my Ultramarine army as I slowly assemble it. Work has been slow and with the huge focus on Empire coming up, there won't be a ton of time to put forth towards Ultramarines until summer. I will post a couple articles to bring this blog up to speed with some of the stuff I have completed for Ultramarines and anything I can squeeze in there. The picture you see here was my extreme highlighted prototype I painted as a test for the Ultramarines. I've since put a little more paint on him for a more blended look, but this was pics of the first work done for the Ultramarines. I've also abandoned using blue fort eh basing and switched to the typical Flesh Brown > Vermin Brown > Bestial Brown > Vomit Brown blending that I sue for every other 40K base that I paint. It maintains consistency.
